Empowering the next generation of achievers

In 2022, our company proudly launched the Next Generation Achievers Programme (NGAP), a transformative initiative aimed at empowering Grade 10, 11, and 12 learners from Sikhulangemfundo High School. Through a series of innovative approaches and comprehensive support, NGAP left a profound impact on the participants' academic performance, personal growth, and career aspirations.  

Let's take a closer look at the remarkable accomplishments of NGAP 2022.

Equipping Learners with Technology

To bridge educational gaps and foster independent learning, each participant received a mobile smart device loaded with an AI-enabled app for maths and science. This app provided access to over 3000 exercises and videos per grade, and learners could connect digitally with tutors to clarify doubts—a powerful tool for academic progress.

Weekend Workshops and English Classes

In-person maths and science workshops held on Saturdays further solidified learners' understanding of these crucial subjects. Additionally, learners were provided with English classes twice a week, equipping them with essential written and oral communication skills for exams, university, and the workplace.

Career Guidance and Mentorship

NGAP 2022 went beyond academics, offering psychometric assessments to all learners, complemented by comprehensive career guidance sessions. Weekly mentorship sessions via Zoom covered vital topics such as values, communication, conflict management, relationships, and courage, fostering holistic development.

Empowering Life Coaching Sessions

Monthly life coaching sessions delved into impactful themes, including purpose versus passion, decision-making, eliminating excuses, empowering beliefs, and overcoming procrastination. These sessions equipped participants with essential life skills and a strong mindset for success.

Short Courses for Employability

Throughout the year, learners had the opportunity to take short courses in Entrepreneurship, Financial Life Skills, and Computer Literacy. These courses not only enhanced their employability but also empowered them to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations.

Leadership Camp Experience

A three-day leadership camp proved to be a significant highlight for NGAP 2022 participants. Engaging in a range of leadership development activities, including team building, group dynamics, communication and adventure-based activities. Some of the other fun activities like wall climbing was a big hit due to the encouragement we saw in the teams.

Physical Fitness and Academic Impact

Recognising the importance of physical and mental health on academic performance, the programme included 2 hours of physical exercises every Saturday. State-of-the-art facilities at the Moses Mabhida stadium enabled learners to experience the benefits of staying physically active.
